Wow! 2024! Cannot believe how quickly this year has flown by. Does anyone else feel like time has sped up? Maybe it’s just because life gets busy, but for me this year it went by so quickly.
I think this year was probably one of the biggest and most rewarding of my career so far. I was coming off a couple hard years of exiting from another company and being able to get that behind me and really focus on design fully made this year one I will never forget. We definitely had some awesome projects. Our Heber Hideaway Project came together in May and we were able to reveal that to our clients. It was truly special to see the look on their faces when they walked through their beautiful home. We also had a fabulous and fun furniture project this year with the most beautiful family.
We started some projects this year that are not going to be complete until next year, but the beginning phases have gotten me very excited for what’s to come.
Our Mannerly Owl Nest project is definitely a highlight of the year. I learned so much doing this project. It definitely challenged my design skills. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated by my team and our wonderful client and we are so excited to debut that in the upcoming months.

Not only did we have some amazing projects this year, but I was also able to hire some new talented employees.
If you don’t already know this about me, I love people and connections. Whether it’s my clients that we’re working with or my employees. I think what matters most to me is connecting and hearing people's stories. I’ve said it before, that design should always tell a story and feel curated and personal to the client. I take it very seriously to help our projects reflect the client and their wants and needs. I feel honored to be welcomed into people’s lives and homes and we do not take it for granted.
I am so excited for this next year. I’ve been thinking about how I want to improve and how our team can improve as well. Growth & learning is very important to me and I want this year to be full of it. I like to have a word or phase to focus on, personally & professionally. One word that keeps coming to mind is DISCIPLINE. Sometimes being a creative, I find myself being a little too fluid. I think there’s positivity in being a bit rigid or obsessive. I also love my easy going personality, but there’s something to be said about discipline. It can help us say no, when we tend to say yes. It can keep us on a schedule & meet deadlines. I think it could be a good balance for me and my team.
I just want to end this blog post by thanking my team for all that they do. I would not have gotten through this year without them. I’m also so grateful for my clients. I literally say daily how awesome our clients are! I’m also grateful for my family and the love and support they have given me this past year. I am a better wife, mother and business owner because of them. I wish you all the best for 2025!
